Energizing Collaborator

Growth Marketer | Product Marketer | Demand Creation & Generation | Integrated & Full Funnel Marketing

I am living in relentless pursuit of self-improvement.

As a scientist turned marketer, I enjoy problem-solving

You’ll often hear me ask “ok but what happens next?”

Heavily influenced by growing up in the San Francisco Bay Area, adjacent to Silicon Valley, you’ll quickly realize I really am a product of my environment. During my time in the Bay Area, I was constantly surrounded by and learned from people who were early employees in what are now the FAANG companies, Venture Capital, and other notably successful businesspeople.

Leaving the Bay Area to experience other regions within the US helped me understand unique buyer personalities and cultural influences on businesses.

These days I live in the Los Angeles Metro, where I get to experience exposure to the amazing creative community it has.

Blurring Tech and Traditional

As the lines and consumer expectations blur, I’ve taken numerous additional courses and initiatives to be the voice in the room for modernizing marketing. The translation between Tech and Traditional Marketing practice reflected the natural methods I used to bring my clients & employers success

I completed The Product Marketing Alliance’s “CORE” course. It covered topics such as:

  • Research
  • Pricing
  • Personas
  • Positioning and Messaging
  • Go-To-Market
  • Communication & Collaboration
  • Sales Enablement
  • Onboarding
  • Analysis & Optimization

The Foundation- Higher Education

After graduating from Sonoma State University with a bachelors of science in Kinesiology, Exercise Physiology, I continued working in the health and wellness field. I chose to focus on preventative wellness instead of reactive recovery.

One day, I was answering a question to a pregnant lady about what to avoid during her workout to keep her and her unborn child safe. Coming directly from classes where we had specific terminology related to biomechanics & exercise physiology, I casually dropped “Avoid anything that creates a valsalva maneuver”. Her eyes glazed over. She tuned out. The interaction fizzled and she walked away shortly thereafter. My manager saw the entire interaction and mentored my sales conversion approach- I needed to meet the lady where she was at, using language she understood. This was on of many moments that led me to realize, I knew all sort of scientifically technical information, what I didn’t know was how to translate that into a business to help people.

Deeply passionate about doing right by people, I chose an MBA program at a school that also had intriguing holistic health, applied psychology, sports psychology, and legal departments. While at John F. Kennedy University I was able to do additional coursework in the sports psychology program in addition to studying Entrepreneurial Leadership. The entrepreneurial leadership coursework was led by people who were not only brillant and accomplished, but had direct experience as Angel Investors. You’ll see these building blocks in how I approach marketing, leadership and growth.
